The Canary of Democracy

This is a special announcement on behalf of the future of Australian democracy.

The Adelaide Adagia Ensemble will be meeting at noon today in the drawing room of Villa Twaklinilkawt and not it this ethereal theatre.  Many distinguished guests have already been invited to attend. They have also already been informed of the change of venue.

You are especially encouraged to be there yourself if you consider yourself to be a relatively well-informed Adelaidean.  A large, historically-relevant and democratically-relevant audience is anticipated.

Donald the canary is about to be locked in his egocentric cage, possible with the robotic cats from the dining room.  That will most likely make today's briefing far safer for everyone.

Of course, the enlightened ethereal proprietor of Villa Twaklinilkawt understands the true meaning of home security and homeland security, but do you?  Are you an enlightened leader yourself?

Home security and homeland security are essentially related to political reform, as all members of the Revolutionary Climatological Needlepoint Committee are well aware.  The ladies are constantly trying to put Donald back in his cage.  Unfortunately, he often manages to escape with the assistance of egocentric media moguls.

Political reform is a considerable topic of interest to all enlightened leaders, even though they may disagree on the likely consequences of its scheduling.  King William IV and Queen Adelaide continue to agree to disagree on the subject.

The ladies on the aforementioned committee are seeking to reform all sorts of unfortunate persons, preferably before the climate revolution heats up any further.  You may wish to assist them.  What has been your own experience on the world stage?

Yesterday, an important presentation took place here in relation to non-popular culture.  Thinking carefully about the future of democracy is not a particularly popular pursuit, unfortunately.  Has the canary of democracy died?

Non-Popular Culture

Knowing the difference between the popular, the unpopular and the non-popular is usually a sign of enlightenment.  How enlightened are you, dear audience member?  What are your reasons for being here?  What are your expectations within this digital auditorium?  Are you expecting to audition?

If you are an ordinary mortal, what are you doing here?  Ordinary mortals have a tendency to be uncritical of their own talents, tastes and expectations.

If you consider yourself to be a good critic, why is that?  Good critics are usually highly critical of themselves, in a highly enlightened way.

What is your usual approach to self-improvement?  Is it somewhat egocentric?  Is it eccentric?  Is it reasonably measurable?

Most people can be improved by acquainting themselves with non-popular culture.  Perhaps that is why you are here.  What is your usually understanding of enlightenment?

As any truly enlightened being is aware, enlightenment is non-popular and sometimes even unpopular.  Attempting to make enlightenment more popular through this ethereal theatre is an impossible task.  Is it possible anywhere else?

All truly enlightened beings have sprezzatura.  You have not yet provided evidence that you possess it.  Why is that?

Please contact the management if you wish to remain here for the remainder of this presentation.  Are you a paid-up member of the Mozarty Party?  Most party members are highly accomplished proponents of non-popular culture.  What are your accomplishments?

Perhaps you took a wrong turning at the stage door.  You may be expected upstairs instead.  Are you aware that world peace appears to be confined to non-popular culture?

The followers and practitioners of popular culture appear to mistake their pursuits with inclusive access to something worthwhile.  That is a great pity.  Popular culture includes many mistakes.

The practitioners of unpopular culture, most of whom have few if any followers, tend to be hostile towards both popular culture and non-popular culture.  They also tend to be hostile towards various expressions of unpopular culture not of their own making.

Are you unpopular at all?  Do you consider yourself to have artistic integrity?  Do you consider yourself to have moral integrity?

Popularity is often associated with the mass media.  It is the same with unpopularity.  What is popular with some people tends to be unpopular with others.

The non-popular, on the other hand, tends to involve both inclusive and exclusive experiences.  Do you consider this digital location to be quite exclusive or relatively inclusive?

What do you consider to be popular, unpopular and non-popular about the Twaklinesque?

The doors of this usually private* ethereal theatre opened for the first time to ordinary mortals (at least if those persons were philanthropically provided with free tickets) on Mr Mozart's birthday last year.  The celebrations are still continuing here in Villa Twaklinilkawt*.

*Links marked with an asterisk are for patrons only.

You may have had the chance to attend a post-performance party in the music room here.  You may even have been invited to enjoy a tour of Villa Twaklinilkawt*.

If you have ever participated in non-popular culture elsewhere, how have you been matching Mozart?

What have been your non-popular contributions to The Social Media Show?

Who and what do you follow, and why?

Who and what is popular with you at present?

Who and what was popular with you in the past but not in the present?

What have been your recent contributions to the Mozarty Party World Peace and Global Prosperity Tour?

What have been your recent contributions to various dialogues of enlightenment?

What is your acquaintance with the most enlightened Adelaideans?

Have you ever participated in an enlightened dialogue in South Australia?

The highly enlightened, Twaklinesque Adelaideans, and their Nilkawtian counterparts, are devotees of the highest forms of non-popular culture.  You may have already met a few of those persons around Villa Twaklinilkawt.  In between assisting visitors, they are usually to be found quietly reading a Twaklin anthology.

What do you usually read when not providing assistance directly to other people?  Do you tend to read works of popular culture, unpopular culture or non-popular culture?  If you are unenlightened, you are unlikely to read much at all.

Do you believe yourself to be sufficiently familiar with Twaklinian poetry, songs, variations and recitals?  If not, you may wish to contact the box office for information on future Twaklinian performances here.

Please note that there are no upcoming public occasions, at least not officially.  Public occasions are frequently overly popular with uncritical audiences, especially when promoted heavily through the mass media.

Upcoming private occasions here never require advertising.  In fact, public occasions in this theatre have never been advertised either.

If you have ever had the privilege of visiting the green room associated with this ethereal theatre, you may be aware of the benefits of that location to non-popular performers.  Do you know how to overcome stage fright on the world stage?

An expressions of non-popular culture is often regarded as a heritage performance.  That is probably why that culture it is open to so many different interpretations.

Popular expressions of heritage are rarely accurate.  Unpopular expressions of heritage tend to be dangerous.  The main intention and attraction of non-popular expressions of cultural heritage relate to their ongoing relevance.

What is your ongoing relevance?  Are you ever involved in undercover work?  Have you ever participated in a non-popular evening of auditions?

Non-popular culture may occasionally include a few dramas from the parlour, or from another equally enlightening location.  Attempts at being popular with all age groups and demographics may occasionally be successful at a non-popular special Christmas matinĂ©e for all the family, regardless of the religious views of those in attendance.  The non-popular often has an ability to transcend cultural and psychological differences.

Enlightened persons always respect the heritage aspects of non-popular presentations as well as the universal aspects involved.  This particularly applies when preparing for the Digital Twaklinesque Festival of Peace.  In fact, preparations are currently underway for the next such festival, particularly in Mozart's dressing room and Nannerl's suite, and upstairs, of course, in the salon for world peace.

Preparations are already underway, too, for Mr Mozart's next birthday celebrations.  What were you doing the last time anyone said "Happy Birthday most arty Sir Mozarty Mozart"?

Mozart transcends both popular culture and non-popular culture.  He has never been part of unpopular culture, except in the minds of arrogant archbishops and jealous musicians.  In three days from now, everyone in the Mozarty Party will be celebrating Nannerl's birthday.  They will then begin preparing for the next World Enlightenment Forum.

How do you compare popular, unpopular and non-popular careers, all things being otherwise equal?

How do you compare popular, unpopular and non-popular comedy, especially whilst attending the Planet Earth Comedy Show or a similar sort of Adelaidean show?

Do you consider Adelaide to be a city of dreams or nightmares or popular culture or unpopular culture or as a world centre of non-popular culture?

There are obviously many questions for you to answer if you are to gain exclusive access to any part of Villa Twaklinilkawt in the future.  Were you one of the winning attendees at the most recent Ethereal World Peace Award ceremony?

When was the last time you had a peaceful day?

Do you believe peaceful days are part of non-popular culture?

How do you intend to prepare yourself for the next World Enlightenment Forum?

Directors of Enlightenment - Part Two

This morning, during the overture, you will have witnessed something remarkable.  If you were aware of that remarkableness, that is a sign of your enlightenment.

An overture is both an introduction and an invitation.  It invites you to listen further, and to respond at the appropriate time.  A director of enlightenment will do the same.

At the end of this morning's session of this two-part seminar, you were invited to take a digital tour of this ethereal theatre.  Was there anything remarkable about that?

You probably also had time for something to eat.  No-one here is expected to rush around, or to dawdle.  This is a location one of moderation.

Directors of Enlightenment - Part One

What does it mean to direct successfully?  Does it depend on the ease of reaching the desired destination?

If you, dear audience member, have never considered yourself to be a director of any sort, why is that?  Have you never been free enough to choose a destination for yourself?

A Peaceful Day

Unless you have a ticket for tonight's exclusive performance here in relation to the Mozarty Party World Peace and Global Prosperity Tour, it is unlikely you will experience a particularly peaceful day today, even if you are a regular attendee at the ethereal proprietor's serene salon for world peace.

The Ethereal World Peace Award Ceremony

Enlightened ladies, enlightened gentlemen and other enlightened persons,

As it is now 3 o'clock in the afternoon in the Adelaidezone, and therefore time for tea here in Villa Twaklinilkawt, you are invited to attend the Ethereal World Peace Award Ceremony in this ethereal theatre.  It begins in 42 seconds time.

Please leave now if you do not wish to participate.  That is especially likely to be the case if you are not an enlightened person and you have no intention of becoming one.

Planet Earth Comedy Show

As you may know, success in life, particularly financial success, has much to do with how you look and how you sound and how you smell.  Your competence, or lack of it, has very little to do with financial success, or your lack of it.

If you wish to appear on the Planet Earth Comedy Show over the coming months, how will you know how to look, sound and smell the part?

Do you think you look, sound, smell and think suitably for the part of a successful performer of comedy?

Adele Adelaide Adagia Review - Part Two

Hello again everyone.  It's me.  Nannerl.  I've just returned to Villa Twaklinilkawt from Adelaide Oval.

Adele Adelaide Adagia Review - Part One

Many members of the Adelaide Adagia Ensemble have gathered here to examine the first part of the curated critiquing assignment conducted by Nannerl Mozart.

Special Show: Home Town Story

This evening, here in Adelaide, many people are either likely to be listening to one or more open-air music concerts or trying to escape from the noise of one or more open-air music concerts, possibly in search of quieter interludes.

All Things Being Otherwise Equal

Everyone deserves a career on equal terms.  Apart from talent and effort, what else should distinguish one person from another, excluding the marketing?

Why is abuse so common? Why are so many careers ruined as a consequence of it?

Happy Birthday Most Arty Sir Mozarty Mozart

Good morning and welcome, dear guests, to this very special birthday celebration in the ethereal theatre of Villa Twaklinilkawt in the Adelaidezone digital arts quarter of Adelaide, Australia.

This event is likely to be even more special than last year.
